Reykjavik – 21.08.2026

Verne and Ofar are joining forces in supporting Háaleitisskóli, a local primary school in Reykjanesbær with new equipment for upper-grade students, helping strengthen access to digital learning as part of the school’s science and technology programme.

The school is developing facilities linked to robotics, 3D printing and technical learning tools. The donation is designed to support that work in a practical way, helping students build digital confidence and take part in hands-on learning. It will include 3D glasses, 3D printers, and laptops amongst others.

The initiative has been delivered with support from Verne’s partner network, including Icelandic technology provider Ofar, pulling together a significant set of tools and equipment that will truly benefit the students in their hands on experience.

“Supporting local education is one of the most practical ways we can contribute to the community around us. This initiative started with listening to what the school needed, and we are pleased to help students access the digital tools that support science, technology and hands-on learning”, commented Styrmir Hafliðason, Managing Director, Verne Iceland.

,,At Ofar, we believe it is important to support the communities around us and help young people gain practical experience with technology. We are proud to support Háaleitisskóli together with Verne and contribute to the school’s work in science and technology,” added Ísleifur Örn Guðmundsson, Director of Business Development at Ofar.
